All skylights are installed with an insulated upstand and finished waterproof on your existing roofing. During a flat roof renovation, we can include the skylight straight away, saving you a separate appointment and double costs.

A well-installed VELUX or Fakro roof window lasts 20 to 40 years. The key to that lifespan is regular maintenance. Fortunately, it is not complicated: with an annual check you keep your roof window in top condition.
Check the sealing around the window every spring. See if the draught strip is still flexible, whether the glass is clean and undamaged, and whether the ventilation grilles are free of leaves and dirt. For wooden roof windows, it is wise to refresh the lacquer every 3 to 5 years. PVC roof windows do not need this.
